GNSS Receiver
HG G-65780

for positioning with RTK (Real Time Kinematic)

The system uses RTK DGNSS to calculate a highly accurate position (GNSS = Global Navigation Satellite System, e.g. GPS). DGNSS stands for differential GNSS and means that a reference station uses its known position to calculate the current deviation of the GNSS signal. This correction value is then transmitted by radio to all rovers (usually RTG).

To further improve position accuracy, Real Time Kinematic (RTK) is used. This involves evaluating the carrier phase of the satellite signal (the system requires approx. 60 seconds after a cold start to eliminate ambiguities). RTK DGNSS provides an accuracy of approximately ±2 cm, which is accurate enough for container tracking and RTG autosteering.
