Developing innovative solutions for today’s challenges is one of the core competencies of GÖTTING KG.

GÖTTING KG offers customized automation for each project. The degree of automation depends on the requirements and customer wishes.

For example, it may be sufficient to be able to safely operate an existing vehicle from a distance, without the need for the vehicle to be able to operate fully automatically. In these cases, a remote control and teleoperation solution comes into consideration.

Fully automated vehicles offer the greatest return on investment for internal transportation in industrial plants. The technology behind our automation solutions is so advanced that the vehicles can be used both manually and automatically, and can be used in yards where other manually operated vehicles are used.

Vehicle automation always pays off when:

  • high accuracy and reliability is required (sensors do not fatigue)
  • The work area is hazardous to people’s health (dust, toxins, radioactivity, heat, cold, night shifts, etc.)
  • Labor costs have to be saved (especially multi-shift operation)

Awards for the world’s first driverless trucks

Implemented in 2001 – In the first project of its kind worldwide, the FOX department automated two Mercedes-Benz Actros vehicles for the company UZIN
in Ulm, Germany. The trucks are guided along transponders in the road at a speed of 5 km/h (accuracy 2 cm). They drive along the course alternately forwards and backwards.

They transport Euro pallets, the loading and unloading of which has also been automated. The entire transport system is controlled and visualized by a PC-based control system. Each vehicle continuously sends information to the control center via radio. The FOX department was awarded several prizes for this project.
