Götting KG is participating in a new research project.
The LoBaBo project is concerned with a new type of system for navigation based on ground data. With the help of a radar sensor, the hardly changeable and therefore very stable ground structure can be recorded. The sensor system on the vehicle to be navigated recognizes this structure and can determine its position, enabling navigation for autonomous vehicles.
“The project aims to significantly improve the localization of automated vehicles in order to make the future technology of autonomous driving even safer, more efficient and more cost-effective.”
Federal Ministry of Education and Research
In addition to GÖTTING KG, the TU Braunschweig is also involved in the project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, with the Institute of Mobile Machines and Commercial Vehicles (IMN)
and the SF Microwave GmbH
involved.
