Lehrte, March 12, 2010 – The technology for navigating vehicles using transponders in the ground, which Götting KG has been using successfully for years, has been further expanded. With the HG 98820 positioning antenna, a more cost-effective device is now available for vehicle automation, especially for automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
Transponder methods have significant advantages over methods using magnets: A unique identification of the respective transponder by the code and a significantly higher reading range, which means that greater ground clearance can be achieved on the vehicle.
Götting KG has been a leader in this Transponder Technology in all areas of transport vehicles for many years. The new HG 98820 positioning antenna and the in-house Navigation Controller are intended to further expand its use in the area of compact and low-cost vehicles.
