Video from a partner showcase by GÖTTING, MECSware
, Novoferm
, UBIRCH
and WAGO
on the 5G CMM Expo in Hannover, October 2019.
The showcase demonstrates the creation of a secure environment for workers in modern production areas with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), automatic gates and RFID gate controls.
The highlight of the showcase is the inclusion of 5G technologies to transmit data in real-time, both for documenting the state of the facility (UBIRCH IIoT Security, Blockchain integration via 5G) and for controlling the vehicle and gate in real-time (Götting/GS Fleetcontrol TransportControl lead control system, MECSware campusXG® 4G/5G private mobile network for transmitting the vehicle position).
Novoferm provided the intelligent door, WAGO created a central control device implementing the connection of the RFID reader, the traffic light, the gate control, the 5G modem cloud upload and the AGV control. Also WAGO had a display showing the state of the traffic light, the RFID reader and the position of the AGV.
Götting integrated one of its KATE AGVs into the showcase. This new KATE version uses Götting‘s E.L.S. (Extended Localization System) to navigate freely by detecting its environment.
