for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)

Lehrte, October 27, 2017 – The Götting KG has expanded its already large range of sensors for track guiding of automated vehicles (AGV) with a sensor for magnetic tape.

Especially for simple and low-cost AGV applications track guiding by magnetic tape has been widely used in recent years. The magnetic tape can be installed quickly and easily by the system operator and the track can also be modified later.

The HG G-19600ZA magnet sensor is characterized by its easy and fast commissioning. A parameterizable analog voltage output is available as an interface to the vehicle PLC. Thus it can be easily integrated into a low-cost-vehicle design.

The use of several detection systems within one senor makes it possible to follow a branch off at a junction. The parameterization of the sensor allows the use of standard magnetic tape materials from different manufacturers.

With this magnetic tape sensor, Götting has extended the available product portfolio of guiding sensors for optical line and inductive guide wire guidance with an additional technology and thus further expanded the product range in the area of sensor systems for the tracking and navigation of driverless transport systems (AGV).
